Maria L. (Rosa) Rosa

New Bedford-Maria L. Rosa aged 88 years died Saturday May 19th unexpectedly at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the widow of Jose Rosa, and Joao Dutra Da Siva. She was the mother of Maria Fatima da Silva of New Bedford. She was the Sister of Dina Pereira of CA. Mrs. Rosa was the loving grandmother of 2, and great-grandmother of 4.

Mrs. Rosa was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (da Luz) Rosa. She was born in Fayal Azores and has lived in this area since 1959. She was a stitcher for Paul Modes Inc. a local dress manufacturer until her retirement.

Mrs. Rosa’s Funeral will be May 23, 2007 at 9 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St., with a Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Tuesday evening from 6-8 P.M.
