Georgianna "Gina" (Almeida) Gemme

New Bedford, MA-Georgianna “Gina” (Almeida) Gemme aged 88 years died Saturday May19, at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the widow of William P. Gemme Jr. She was mother of William B. Augustine and his wife Rita of Fl, Paul J. Gemme and his wife Jo Ann of New Bedford, Janet A. Rock and her companion John of FL, Gay C. Marvel, and Bonita M. Galarzk both of New Bedford. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. Two grandchildren Raymond Souza Jr. and Derek Galarzk preceded Mrs. Gemme in death. She was the sister of Alice Jenny of Mattapoisett, and the late Rocky Dundee, Edward, Jil, and Albert Almeida, and Adeline Borges. She is also survived by Godchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Gemme was the beloved friend of Irene Richmond, and her family, as well as Cora, and many other close friends.

Mrs. Gemme was the daughter of Manuel and Maria Gloria (Cosmo) Almeida. She was a life long resident. Mrs. Gemme loved playing cards, and Bingo. She enjoyed traveling, and most of all music, and singing.

Mrs. Gemme attended the Journey to Wholeness, and many other churches to worship, as well as the Dartmouth Baptist Church where a memorial services will be held at a latter date.

In accordance with her wishes she will be cremated.
