Nicodemos R. Macedo

New Bedford – Nicodemos R. Macedo aged 73 died Thursday April 12th, at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the loving husband of Graciela (Armas) Macedo of Dartmouth. His sister Lidia do Espirito Santo of Madeira Island, Portugal, and the late Maria Buxo, Manuel A. Macedo, Abraham R. Macedo, and David R. Macedo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Macedo was the son of the late Manuel R. and Maria (Abreu) Macedo. She was born in Ponta do Sol, Madeira Island and has lived in this area since 1955. She was a Battery Hand Operator in Tweave Manufacturing Clothing Factory. She was a member of the Club Sport Madeirense, St. John Boosters Club, and Mt. Carmel Boosters Club.

Mr. Macedo’s funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., Tuesday at 8 A.M., with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Monday from 5 - 8 P.M.
