Wilfred Herman "Barney" Mc Donald

New Bedford, MA. -Wilfred Herman “Barney" Mc Donald, age 91, after a brief illness at St. Luke's Hospital died Friday, March 23, 2007. He was the husband of Rita (Magnant) Mc Donald of New Bedford. He was the father of Alfred Mc Donald of New Bedford. He was the grandfather of Joshua McDonald. He was the bother of the late Paul Mc Donald, James Mc Donald, Lina Greenwaldt, Theresa Brooks, and Mary Stannard. He was the brother-in-law of Lydia Mc Donald of Florida. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews

Mr. Mc Donald was born in Descousse, Canada. He was the son of the late Alfred and Elizabeth (Burke) Mc Donald. He was employed as a Chef at local restaurants; he later went to work as a cook on local fishing boats. He was the Past Commander of the Porier Post # 3260. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. He was a communicate of St. Joseph-St. Theresa's Church.

In accordance with his wishes he was cremated. Burial will be private.
