Jose C. "Jose Cabral Dias" Amaral

New Bedford-Jose C. “Jose Cabral Dias” Amaral aged 95 years died Tuesday March 20th. He was the husband of Maria (Pacheco) Amaral. He was the father of Maria A. DeMelo, Mabelia Correia, Normanda Cabral, Jose Francisco Dias all of New Bedford, and Alda Botelho of Dartmouth. He was the brother of the late Manuel Cabral Dias, Joao Cabral Dias, Maria doCarmo Sabino, Maria Jose Cabral, Maria deAscencao Cabral. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, and nephews.

Mr. Amaral was the son of the late Francisco and Maria (Bernarda) Cabral. He was born in Salga Sao Miguel Acores. He has lived in this area since 1975. He was a landscaper until his retirement.

Mr. Amaral’s Funeral will be Thursday from the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. at 8 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Wednesday 6-9 P.M. He will be buried at St. John Cemetery.
