Claudine A. Santos

New Bedford - Claudine A.(Pena) Santos, age 90 years, died Saturday, March 10, 2007 at St. Luke’s Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of Jose M. Santos of New Bedford, they were married for 56 years; and the mother of Paula Barros wife of Charles Barros Sr. of Wareham, MA. Mrs. Santos was the grandmother of Charles Barros Jr. of Maryland and Eric Barros of Las Vegas, NV. She was the sister of Caroline Ferreira of San Antonio, TX. and John Pena Jr. of New Bedford and also the late Thurban Amado, Audrey Pena, Murial Pena, Roland Pena, Kenneth Pena and Harry Pena. Mrs. Santos is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Santos was the daughter of the late John and Martha (Post) Pena. She was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all her life. She was packer at Acushnet Company.

In accordance with her wishes she was cremated and a memorial mass will be held at St.Patrick's Church in Wareham on Tuesday, March 21, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial of her cremains will be private, at the convenience of the family.
