New Bedford – Manuel Almada, aged 95 years, died Monday, March 5, 2007 at Sacred Heart Home. He was the brother of Mary Vaillancourt, Alzira Almeida and Frank Almeida all of New Bedford. Mr. Almada is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Almada was the son of the late Manuel and Maria Conceicao (Madeira) Almeida. He was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all his life. Mr. Almada was an advertising agent with the Jacques Advertising Company and he was also a World War II, U.S. Army veteran.
Mr. Almada’s funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., Friday, March 9, 2007 at 7:45 A.M., with a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Thursday, March 8, 2007 from 5 - 7 P.M.
