Antonio L. Pimentel

Dartmouth - Antonio L. Pimentel, age 54 years, died Wednesday, February 28, 2007, after a long illness. He was the husband of Maria Do Carmo (Rita) Pimentel of Dartmouth. Mr. Pimentel was the father of Suzanne Ferreira, wife of Kevin of New Bedford and Amanda and Eric Pimentel both of Dartmouth. He was the loving grandfather of Evan Michael Ferreira. He was the brother of Joao Pimentel of New Bedford and the late Jose Do Rego Pimentel. Several nieces, nephews, and godchildren, including Heidi Pereira also survive him. He is also survived by a brother-in-law, and sister-in-laws.

Mr. Pimentel was the son of the late Silvana (Pimentel) and Jose Jacinto Jr. He was born in Ribeira Quente, Sao Miguel, Azores, and has lived in this area for 30 years. He was the part owner of Melo’s Fish Market on Crapo St.

Mr. Pimentel’s funeral will be on Saturday, March 3, 2007 at 8 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9 A.M. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday Evening, March 2, 2007 from 5 - 8 P.M.
