Jose P. Mota

New Bedford-Jose P. Mota age 68 years died Monday January 29th at home. He was the husband of Hirondina (Duarte) Mota of New Bedford. He was the father of Luis Mota of New Bedford, Richard Mota of Fairhaven, and Sandra Barrett of Waltham. He was the brother of Oscar Mota of Swansea, Manuel Paiva, Urania Mendoza, and Conceicao Paiva all of New Bedford. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, and several nieces, and nephews.

Mr. Mota was the son of the late Manuel P. and Guilhermina (Mota) Paiva. He was born in Vila Nordeste, Sao Miguel, Azores. He has lived in this area since 1968. He was a machine operater at Dartmouth Finishing until his retirement.

Mr. Mota Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be on Friday February 2nd at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9 A.M. visiting hours will be Thursday February 1st from 4-8 P.M. He will be buried will be at Rural Cemetery.
