Henrique R. De Almeida

Dartmouth-Henrique R. deAlmeida, age 72, died Friday, January 12, 2007 at home surrounded by his loving family, after a brief illness. He was the husband of Maria doCarmo (Rego) Almeida of Dartmouth, He was the father of Nancy Lawson and her husband Wayne of New Bedford, Deborah Gomes and her husband Michael, Linda Isaksen, Katherine Tsonis and her husband Chris, Henrique Almeida and his wife Danielle, all of Dartmouth. He was the brother of Carlos Almeida of Acushnet, Hipolito Almeida of CT., Alice Moura FL., Teresa Hegarty of New Bedford, Tila Pinto of Acushnet and Jose Almeida of Achushnet. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and a great grandson, and several nieces, and nephews.

Mr. DeAlmeida was the son of the late Artur and Maria doCarmo (Rodrigues) Almeida. He was born in Quintas de Baixo Conselho, Celorico de Beira, Portugal. He has lived in this area for 48 years. He was a laborer, with a construction company until his retirement. He was a member of Portuguese American Athletic Club of New Bedford.

His funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home Tuesday at 8:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 9:00 A.M. Visiting hours will be Monday from 5-8 P.M. Burial will take place at Rural Cemetery.
