Natalia (Veira) Peixoto

New Bedford-Natalia (Vieira) Peixoto, age 61, died Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at St. Luke’s Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of Jose Peixoto of New Bedford. She is survived by her son Christopher Peixoto and her daughter Joyce, wife of Peter Medeiros all of New Bedford. She is also survived by her brother Jose M. Vieira and his wife Odete of North Dartmouth, her sister Lucy Rebello and her husband Michael of New Bedford, brother-in-law Joao Peixoto of New Bedford, brother-in-law Victor Peixoto of Montreal, Canada and a sister-in-law Libania Carvalho also of Montreal, Canada. She has 2 nephews Rui J. Vieira and Sergio R. Vieira.

Mrs. Peixoto was the daughter of the late Jose P. Vieira and Maria A. (Costa) Vieira. She was the Co-owner of Peixoto Fish Market and later worked as a stitcher at Mar-Lil’s, Madeira Twin and Oberon Sportswear. Mrs. Peixoto was born in Ribeira, Quente; St. Michael , Azores, and lived in this area for the past 38 Yrs.

Her funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home Friday at 8:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 9:00 A.M. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 5-8 P.M. Burial will take place at St. John Cemetery.
