Joseph Frias

New Bedford – Joseph Frias, died Saturday, January 06, 2007, unexpectedly at home. He was the husband of the late Mary Ricaria (Souza) Frias. He is survived by a niece Judith L. Ferrigno of Monroe, Ct.; a niece, Ana Barbosa of New Bedford; a great nephew, Nicholas Ferrigno of CT.; a sister-in-law, Rosalina Sousa of New Bedford and several other nieces and nephews.

Mr. Frias was the son of the late Joao and Maria (Moniz) Frias. He was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all his life. Mr. Frias was a machine operator at Berkshire – Hathaway Mills and also a World War II, U.S. Army veteran.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at St John the Baptist Church at 10:00 A.M. Relatives and Friends are invited to meet at Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. prior to the mass, from 8:30 – 9:30 A.M. Interment at St. John Cemetery.
