Manuel J. Machado

New Bedford- Manuel J. Machado age 52 died Saturday December 30, 2006 at St. Luke’s Hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of Maria (Carmo) Machado of New Bedford. He is survived by 1 son Manuel Machado Jr. of New Bedford, 1 daughter Ana Machado of New Bedford. 3 Grandchildren Shaylene Rasto, Paul Machado, and Damion Rebello. 1 sister Debra Brum of Dartmouth, 1 brother John Machado of New Bedford, and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Machado was the son of the late Maria (Angels) and John Machado. He was born in Sao Miguel, Azores and has lived here since 1976. He was a laborer with T.D. Sullivan Construction Co. He was a member of Clube Faialense and Portuguese Sports Club.

His Funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home Wednesday January 3, 2007 at 8:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian burial at St John the Baptist Church at 9:00 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 5-8 P.M.
