Lurdes Sousa Graca

New Bedford- Lurdes Sousa Graca died Monday December 18, 2006 at home after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Joao Jose Mateiro Graca of New Bedford. She was the mother of Ana M. Graca, Dora S. Graca and Celina S. Graca all of New Bedford. Grandmother of Caterina C. Graca and Kyle Sullivan. Sister of Bela Teixeira, Zaida Lima, Fatima Hickney, Amy Oliveira and Carlos Graca all of New Bedford. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Graca was the daughter of the Maria Jose (Flores) Sousa and Joao A. da Graca of Portugal . She was born in Costa Nova, Portugal and has lived in New Bedford since 1984. She was a stitcher for Cliftex. She liked to sew and cook.

Mrs. Graca’s Funeral will be at Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., on Thursday December 21, 2006 at 8:45 A.M. With a Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Church at 10:00 A.M.
