Rosilda C. Amaral

New Bedford – Rosilda C. (DeMello) Amaral, aged 82 yrs, died peacefully at home with her family by her side on Tuesday, December 12, 2006, after a long illness. She was the mother of Rose-anne Lewis, Frances R. Masker, Frank Amaral Jr., Brenda R. Lucas, Carlos J. Amaral all of New Bedford and the late Francisco Amaral. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 7 greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Amaral was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all her life. She was the wife of the late Frank Amaral who passed away February 3, 2003 and a daughter of the late Joseph and Angelina (Pimentel) DeMello. She was a Co-Proprietor along with her mother of DeMello’s Variety

Her Funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home on Friday, December 15, 2006 at 8:00 A.M. with a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 9:00 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Thursday evening from 5 to 8 P.M.
