Mabel (Sehla) Gilbert

New Bedford MA-Mabel Gilbert died Thursday October 23, 2006 after a long illness. She was a resident of Savoy Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the widow of Harry Barrows. She was the mother of Phillip and his wife Juanita Mendez of Falmouth, MA. She was the Grandmother of Julia Mendez of Falmouth, MA. She was the sister of Madeline Heniz of Philadelphia, PA., Ruth Whittrow, Ann Younger, both of Stoughton, MA. Cynthia Roberts, and Priscilla both of California, and Manuel Sehla of Mattapoisett, MA. She was also survived by several nieces, and nephews.

Mrs. Gilbert was the daughter of the late Manuel and Julia (Monteiro) Sehla. She was born in Mattapoisett, and lived in this area all of her life.

A Memorial Service will take place at Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall 740 County St. New Bedford, MA. at 1 P.M.on Saturday November 11th. Relatives and friends are invited to meet at Kindom Hall.

In accordance with her wishes she was cremated.
