Betty Jean (Carpenter) Paine

Wareham, MA – Betty Jean (Carpenter) Paine, age 72, of Buzzards Bay, died Wednesday, October 18, 2006, at Tobey Hospital, after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Howard Paine and sister of Raymond Carpenter of Warwick, RI. She was the aunt of Suzanne Cherrix of Plymouth and several other nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and 1 great great nephew. She was the sister of the late Margaret Sciarappa, Marcia Olival and Hal Carpenter

Mrs. Paine was born in Asbury Park, New Jersey, the daughter of Harold and Margaret (Regan) Carpenter. She lived in this area most of her life. Mrs. Paine was formerly a nurse’s aide at Hallmark Nursing Home

Mrs. Paine’s Funeral will be Friday, October 20, 2006 at 9 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at Saint Lawrence, Martyr Church at 10 A.M. Visiting hours are Thursday from 6 - 8 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., New Bedford. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
