Manuel Gilberto Simoes

E. Falmouth - Manuel Gilberto Simoes, age 62, died Sunday, October 8, 2006, unexpectedly at home. He was the husband of Rosa (Castelo) Simoes, and father of Paulo Manuel Simoes both of E. Falmouth. Mr. Simoes was the brother of Mr. & Mrs. Paulo Simoes of Florida, Mr. & Mrs. Jose Simoes of Florida, Mr. & Mrs. Pedro Simoes of New Bedford, and Mr.& Mrs. Joaquin Simoes of Acushnet. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Simoes was born in Portugal, the son of the late Manuel Bernardo Simoes and Maria doCarmo (Rodrigues) Simoes. He has lived in this area since 1969. He was a machine operator for Lawrence Lynch Corp.

Mr. Simoes funeral will be on Friday at 9:30 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home and his services will be held at the Portuguese 7th Day Adventist Church on Rockdale Avenue at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours are at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth Street, New Bedford MA 02740 – Thursday from 6 – 9 P.M.
