Angelina Maria (Piques) Dematos

New Bedford, MA.-Angelina Maria (Piques) DeMatos passed away October 3, 2006 at St. Luke's Hospital unexpectedly. She was the widow Antonio B. Matos who passed away Nov. 28, 1996. She was the mother of Joao E. Matos of Mattapoisett, Arturo M. Matos, Antonio J. Matos, and Louis Matos, Fernanda Sousa, Margarida Sousa, and Germina Raposo, all of New Bedford. She had several deceased brothers and sisters. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, and nephews.

Mrs. DeMatos was born in St. Michael, Azores. She is the daughter of the late Elias and Maria dos Anjos (Cabral) Piques. She has lived in this area for the last 35 years. She was formerly a floor lady at Long Shore Mfg. until her retirement.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday October 6, 2006 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours will be 4 to 8 P.M., on Thursday October 5, 2006 at the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St.
