Herminia S."Mina" (Spencer) Santos

New Bedford –Herminia S. “Mina” (Spencer) Santos age 85 died Monday September 11, 2006 at St. Luke’s Hospital after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Joaquim S. Santos. She was the sister of the late John J. Spencer, Amelia “Mae” Correia and Manuel J. Spencer. Several nieces, and nephews also survived her.

Mrs. Santos was the daughter of the late Joseph and Laura (Almeida) Spencer. She was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all of her life. She was a cosmetologist at Marie’s Beauty Salon. She as a member of the Cape Verdean Women’s Social Club, and the Cape Verdean Veterans Auxially.

Mrs. Santos funeral will be Friday 8 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home, and her Mass of Christian Burial will be at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9:00 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery.
