Frank A. Ramos Jr.

New Bedford – Frank A. Ramos Jr., age 64 died Saturday September 9, 2006 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the Husband of Marie A. (Pimentel) Ramos of Dartmouth. Survivors include a Daughter Deneen M. Wiley of Bowie, Md. and a Son Frank A. Ramos III and his wife Abigail of New Bedford, Ma,. A Granddaughter Brittany Ramos, 2 step-grandaughters Angelee Contras and Shaunty Ramos. 2 step Great Grandchildren. Sisters Pauline M. Garcelon of New Bedford and Francine M. and her husband James Minot of Dover N.H.. an Aunt Anna Gonsalves of New Bedford, Mother in law Jenny Pimentel of New Bedford, Brother in law Jack Pimentel , Sisters in law Carol and Linda Pimentel both of New Bedford, Sisters in law Susan and her husband Tony Costa of N. Dart. and Tisha Pimentel-Galarza and husband Eddie of New Bedford. He is also survived by several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. He is pre deceased by a Sister Joan Ramos, deceased Brothers in law Tommy Pimentel and Richard Garcelon. Deceased Father in law Joaquim M. Pimentel.

Mr. Ramos was the son of the late Mary (Oliveira) and Frank A. “slappy” Ramos. He was born in New Bedford, MA and lived in this area most of his life. Mr. Ramos loved to bowl, dance, and play pool, He was a past member of the Verdean Vets, the Carney Lodge Elks. He was a very handy and talented person. He loved his family and life in general and was an avid sports fan especially the Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics. He retired as a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps, a Veteran of the Vietnam War,after serving his Country for 27yrs. He later worked as a Major at the Bristol County Sheriffs Office.

Mr. Ramos funeral will be Tuesday September 12, at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9 A.M. Burial at St. John Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Monday September 11, 2006 from 5 to 9 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home.
