Jose D. Candido

New Bedford - Jose D. Candido, died Saturday, September 2, 2006 at St. Lukes Hospital. He was the husband of Alice (Nunes) Candido of New Bedford. Survivors include 2 daughters: Marie Adams and Karen Candido both of New Bedford, 1 son: Joseph Candido of New Bedford and 1 brother: Antone Candido of New Bedord. He is also survived by five grandchildren and a niece. He was also the father of the late Debra Ann Candido.

Mr. Candido was born in Fayal, Azores and has been in this area since 1958. He was the son of the late Maria Alvina and Duarte Candido. He was formerly employed at Trans American Spin as a weaver.

Mr Candido's funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. New Bedford, MA., on Wednesday at 8 A.M. with a Funeral Mass at St. John the Baptist Church at 9 A.M. Burial will take place at St John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 6 - 8 P.M at the funeral home.
