Maria C. Cardoso

New Bedford, Maria C. Cardoso aged 89 yrs, passed away Tuesday August 29, 2006, after a brief illness. She was the wife of late Ernesto Cardoso and the mother of Elena Sousa of New Bedford, MA., Natalia Camacho Venezuela , Franklin Cardoso Venezuela, Rosa Cardoso of New Bedford, MA., Gil Cardoso of New Bedford, MA., Mary Gorett Queen of Dartmouth, MA. She was the sister of Margarida Xavier of New Bedford, MA. 12 grandchildren and 9 Great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Cardoso was born in St. Miguel, Azores and lived in this area since 1967. She was the daughter of late Jose and Joana (Medeiros) Cosme. She was formerly employed as a Stitcher at Mickey Madann Pocket Book Factory.
Funeral from the Perry Funeral Home at 8 on Friday. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be 5 to 8 P.M., on, Thursday at the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St.
