Manuel P. Mendonca

New Bedford, Manuel P. Mendonca aged 89 yrs, passed away Monday July 25, 2006, after a brief illness. He was the Husband of Ernestina P. (Mendonca) Mendonca and the Father of Mary Allen of Los Gatos, CA., Juliette Mauricio of New Bedford, Fernanda DaSilva of Fairhaven, 9 Grandchildren and 10 Greatgrandchildren, 3 Brothers Jose P. and Virgilio P. Mendonca of Victoria B.C. and Joao Elias P. Mendonca of Mississauga, Toronto, 3 Sisters Regina Pereira , Madalena Curvelo both of Victoria, B.C. and Marta Raposo of Sao Miguel, Azores, Several Nieces and Nephews, Deceased Sisters Conceicao Moniz and Hortencia Teixeira.

Mr. Mendonca was born in Ponta Garca, St. Miguel, Azores and lived in this area since 1954. He is a Son of Francisco and Maria deLourdes (Pacheco) Mendonca. He was formerly employed as a Sausage Filler at Gasper’s Linguica Co.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated July 28, 2006 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be 5 to 8 P.M., on Thursday July 27, 2006 at the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St.
