Edwin G. Prince

New Bedford - Edwin G. Prince, age 76, died Wednesday, June 28, 2006, after a brief illness, at home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Evelyn E. (Rose) Prince, father of Nolan “Lanny” Prince of New Bedford, Edwin L. Prince of R.I., Laurie D’Oliveira, Linda L Rose and Lisa M. Prince all of New Bedford. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 3 brothers: Edward Prince of Illinois, Edmund Prince and Raymond Prince both of Florida, and a sister: Eva Johns of Illinois. Mr. Prince was the brother of the late Earl Prince.

Mr. Prince was the son of the late Raymond M. and Eva (Furlong) Prince. He was born in Carbondale, Illinois and lived in this area most of his life. Mr. Prince retired from the Morse Twist Drill where he had worked as a tap thread grinder for 35 years.

Relatives and Friends are invited to Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 9:45 A.M. on Saturday, with graveside services at 10:45 A.M. at Sacred Heart Cemetery #2. Visiting hours will be Friday from 5 to 9 P.M. at the funeral home.
