Rosalina (Medeiros) Umbelina

New Bedford - Rosalina (Medeiros) Umbelina,aged 88, died Monday at St. Luke’s Hospital, after a long illness. She was the wife of Jacinto Umbelina. Mrs. Umbelina was the mother of Luis Manuel Umbelina of New Bedford, Antonio Jacinto Umbelina of Acushnet, Maria deDeus Melo of Fairhaven, and of the late Fernando Antonio Umbelina. She was the sister of Antonio Jacinto Medeiros of New Bedford, Honorina Melo Medeiros of Toronto, Canada, and Ascuncao Estrela of Toronto, Canada.

Mrs. Umbelina was born in St. Michael, Azores, Portugal. She was the daughter of the late Jose Jacinto and Evangelina (Duarte) Medeiros. She lived in this area since 1966.

Mrs. Umbelina's funeral will begin at Perry Funeral Home, Thursday at 9:30 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 5-9 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. Burial at Rural Cemetery.
