Irene Pacheco

New Bedford-Irene(Pavao) Pacheco died Monday June 12, 2006 at St. Luke’s Hospital surrounded by those she loved. She was the wife of 65 years of Jesse Pacheco of New Bedford. She was the mother of Assessor Robert Pacheco and his companion Sandra Fulton, of New Bedford, Karleen Winn and her husband Phillip of New Bedford. She was the loving mother Lieutenant Jesse Pacheco Jr. who leaves his widow Cynthia “Cindy” Pacheco of New Bedford. She was the grandmother of Michael, Mark, Susan Pacheco, and Amy Winn. She was the sister of Candida Amaro of New Bedford. She was also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Pacheco was the daughter of the late David and Maria P. (Lameiras) Pavao. She was a life long resident of New Bedford. She was a stitcher for M&S Dress Company until her retirement.

Mrs. Pacheco funeral will be Thursday June 15, 2006, from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 9 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James, on County St. at 10 A.M., Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Wednesday 14, 2006 from 4-7 P.M.
