Sharon Fernandes

New Bedford – Sharon Fernandes, age 70, of Acushnet, MA passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Sharon was born in New Bedford, MA to the late Charles Fernandes and Rosalina (Souza) Fernandes. She loved spending time with her family, loved her dogs and she also enjoyed going to the casino and watching television.

Sharon is survived by her 2 children, Carlos Marquinhos and Corey Fernandes; 1 grandchild, Gates Fernandes; her siblings, Richard Fernandes, Carlos Fernandes and James Fernandes; her goddaughter, Amber Vieira; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her late sister, Rose Silva.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Sharon on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at St. Francis Xavier Parish in Acushnet at 11:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Acushnet Cemetery. All attendees are kindly asked to meet directly at the church. Visiting hours are omitted.
