Philip Winn

New Bedford – Philip Winn, age 83, of Plainville, MA and formerly New Bedford, MA passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Life Care Center of Attleboro after a brief battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his wife Karleen Winn (Pacheco).

Philip was born in New Bedford, MA to the late Agnes Winn (Egan) and Philip Winn. He served in the United States Navy and later went on to work in the New Bedford School Department. In his retirement, Philip enjoyed watching car races and going to car shows. He looked forward to family dinners with his grandkids and their dog Millie, especially when his favorite meal was on the menu – chicken pot pie!

He is survived by his daughter, Amy Leco and her husband Domenic of North Attleboro, and their children Morgan, Emily and Olivia. He is also survived by his sister Elizabeth Winn of Plainville, MA.

Philip’s visiting hours will be held at Perry Funeral Home on Friday April 28th from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday April 29th at 9:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Church, 233 County Street New Bedford, MA 02740. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
