Upon graduation, Theresa decided to practice her faith by entering the convent for 3 years but believed God’s bigger plan was to have her two daughters who she loved with all of her heart.
During her childhood, teenage and young adult years, Theresa worked at Macedo’s Pharmacy owned by her late Uncle Gene with her Godmother Stella. While working at the pharmacy she enrolled at SMU, now known as The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Marketing in 1977. After caring for her 2 young daughters, Theresa worked at Bristol County Blueprint Company for most of her adult life. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church in New Bedford where she was an active member of the Church Choir and held many titles in the Women’s League last being Vice President.
Theresa is survived by her daughters: Erica Souza Trahan; Dr. Jauna Souza-Quatrano DMD and her husband William Quatrano; brother Deacon Paul Macedo and his wife Marie (DeSousa) Macedo; sister-in-law Pauline (Almeida) Macedo; granddaughter, Eliana Trahan; grandsons Scott Trahan, Dominic Quatrano and Jack Quatrano; and her beloved nieces and nephews Christopher, Elizabeth, Aaron, Melissa, Carolina, Jacob and Bethany.
