Rosemarie V. 'Rosie' (Pereira) Riley

New Bedford – Rosemarie V. "Rosie" (Pereira) Riley, age 82, of New Bedford, MA passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at home with her loving family by her side.

Rosemarie was born in New Bedford, MA and was the beloved daughter of the late Maximiano Pereira and Carminda (Lameira) Pereira. She had worked in the housekeeping department at St. Luke’s Hospital for many years. She loved spending time with her family and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her son, Shawn Riley and his wife Susan of New Bedford; her brother, Gilbert Pereira of Davenport, FL; her goddaughter, Cassandra Gobeil of North Dartmouth; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also the mother of the late Raymond Riley Jr.

Rosemarie’s visiting hours will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023 at Perry Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Her funeral will take place Saturday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 8:00 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will immediately follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
