Elias Kazan

New Bedford – Elias Kazan, age 91, of New Bedford, MA passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Jeanned’Arc (Al-Achkar) Kazan.

Elias was born in Rehit, Lebanon to the late Wadih Kazan and Avdoukia (Abou-trad) Kazan. He served in the Lebanese Military for many years before moving to the United States. He was a beautiful soul that we will never forget. All of your children and grandchildren loves you very much. You always had a big heart for your whole family and friends. Peace be with you in heaven.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanned’Arc (Al-Achkar) Kazan; his sons, Eng. Marwan Kazan & his wife Mirvat and their kids (Samara/ Johnny/ Amin and Lamis) and Eng. Saeid Kazan & his wife Rosi and their kids (Saeid Junior/ Elias); his daughters, Viviane Kazan, Youssef Aoun's husband and their kids (Dr. Fouad/ Patricia/ Pauline/ Dr. Pamela and their family), Jouhain Kazan, Fouad Charbel's husband and their kids (1st Lieutenant Frederic, his wife Jessica and his sister Fabiola), Almaz Kazan, Saeid Fares's husband and their family (Jessica/Kassandra/Marwan/Elias).

Elias’s visiting hours and funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Dartmouth. Visiting hours will be held from 10:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. and the funeral mass will begin at 11:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
