Susan Plank

New Bedford – Susan E. (Pedras) Plank, age 65, of east Freetown, MA passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Farell Plank.

Susan was born in New Bedford, MA to Elizabeth (Vieira) Pedras and the late Antonio Pedras. She had worked as a Social Worker for Whaler’s Cove, a job she truly enjoyed. She had also loved spending time at home with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Pedras; her husband, Farell Plank; 2 children, Matthew Plank and his fiancé Michaela Yebba, and Lauren Caldas and her husband Robert Caldas, Jr.; 2 grandchildren, Robert Caldas III “Bo” and Scarlett Caldas; 3 cousins, Cheryl Carreiro, C.J. Smith and John Smith; as well as an aunt and uncle, Mary and Richard Cabral.

Susan’s visiting hours will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022 at Perry Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Her funeral will take place on Tuesday, beginning in the funeral home at 9:00 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
