Ana Goretti Monteiro

Ocala Florida - Ana Goretti Soares Monteiro, age 62, formerly of New Bedford, MA passed away on November 22, 2022 at her residence in Ocala, Florida, where she lived since August of 2021. She was the beloved widow of Jose Fernando Monteiro.

Born in Furnas, Sao Miguel, Azores to the late Manual Soares DaSilva and Maria DeJesus Amaral. She worked at Alberox and prior to that it was Aerovox. She loved spending time with grandkids, family, and friends, also loved laughing, dancing, cooking, traveling to Cape Cod, Newport and Foxwoods and walking around Fort Taber.

Ana is survived by her daughters, Ann Monteiro and her boyfriend Filippo Cefaly, and Jessica Monteiro and her fiancé Thomas Gosson; grandchildren, Tyler Monteiro and fiancé Emily Sprunk, Anastaysha Tillson, Nevaeh Tillson, Fayth-Lynn Gosson, Samantha Gosson, Abigail Gosson and Zachary Gosson; great grandchildren, Lilyann Monteiro, and Gyanna Menard; siblings Lucia Brasil, Maria Helena Vieira, Conceicao Costa, Paula Raposo, Paulo Soares and the late Manuel and Jose Soares.

Ana’s Visiting hours will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022. From 9 A.M. – 11 A.M., followed by a mass of Christian burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 11:30 A.M. Burial will follow at St John Cemetery.
