Arminda Machado

Fall River – Arminda (Sousa) Machado, age 68, Passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Fall River Health Care.

Arminda was born in Sao Mateus, Terceira, Azores to Manuel Sousa and Alice (Silveira) Sousa, and worked as a CNA at Vibra Hospital.

Arminda was a member of the Full Gospel Christian Church where she was a member of the choir, and she often sang in nursing homes where she loved to talk and pray with everyone. Arminda also helped feed the homeless as often as she could.

Arminda is survived by her husband Luis Machado; her son Michael Machado; her sisters Maria Cabral, and Zelia Machado; her brothers Joao Silveira and his wife Manuela, and Jose Sousa and his wife Delia; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Arminda was predeceased by her son Brian Machado, and her sisters Laura Nasciment, and Lucia Fisher.

Arminda had said she did not want anyone to wear black at her services.

In lieu of flowers, the family will accept donations in her memory.

Arminda is being cremated, with a memorial service to be held at Perry Funeral Home on Friday, December 16th, from 5:00PM to 7:00PM.
