Antonio E. Sequeira

New Bedford – Antonio E. Sequeira, age 100, of New Bedford passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of the late Beatrice (Augusto) Sequeira.

Antonio was born in Porches, Algarve, Portugal to the late Jose Raimundo Sequeira and Inacia (Passarinho) Sequeira. He had been a fisherman for many years on various fishing vessels and was a member of the Fisherman’s Union.

Antonio is survived by his daughter, Linda M. Viera and her husband Ronald Viera; 5 grandchildren, David Lee Botas II, Justin Lee Botas, Victoria A. Andrade and her husband Michael Andrade, Tiffany Cowen and her husband Tony Cowen and Crystal Sequeira; great-grandchildren, Christopher Andrade and Tiana Andrade; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sons, Victor A. Sequeira and Antonio E. Sequeira Jr. and several siblings.

Antonio’s visiting hours will be held Monday, November 28, 2022 from 4:00 P.M – 7:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. His funeral will take place Tuesday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 9:00 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
