Joseph Ferreira

New Bedford - Joseph A. Ferreira, age 64, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, October 16, 2022. He was the son of the late Ramiro Ferreira and Maria Alice (Vicente) Ferreira.

Joe was a proud union member of the Laborers Local 385. He was a private man with many passions and opinions. He was an avid Boston sports fan, and a die-hard Benfica supporter, often taking trips to watch them play. He loved woodworking, fishing, good food and even better wine. Joe was also a veteran of the United States Air force.

Joseph was the best brother, uncle, Godfather, and friend. He leaves behind his sister, Dulce and her husband Diomar; his nephew Lenny; his Tia Elvira; his 1st cousins, Carlos Bento and his family, and Nelia Barbosa and her family and his nephew's wife Heidi, and great niece Sophia.

Joseph’s visiting hours will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at Perry Funeral Home from 2:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. His funeral will take place Monday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 9:00 A.M. and followed with a funeral service at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
