Maria Isabel (Martins) Raposo

New Bedford – Maria Isabel (Martins) Raposo, age 85, of New Bedford, MA passed away on October 12, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Durval Raposo and mother of the late Clara Raposo.

Maria was born in St. Michael, Azores and was the beloved daughter of late Joe Martins and Clara Martins. Maria had worked as a stitcher over the years.

She is survived her sons, Durvalino Martins Raposo and Antonio Jose Martins Raposo and his wife Donna Raposo; three grandchildren, Amiee Lynne Raposo, Christopher Raposo and Sonya Marie Raposo; great-grandchildren, Dontae Gibau and Devin Raposo; sisters, Odette Botelho and Gabriela Duarte; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her late siblings, Deolinda Pacheco and Leonardo Martins.

Maria’s visiting hours will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022 at Perry Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Her funeral will take place Saturday morning, in the funeral home, beginning at 8:00 A.M. with a service to be held at 9:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
