Roberta Dean

New Bedford – Roberta Doris Dean, aged 80, of New Bedford, MA, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital.

Roberta was born in New Bedford, MA and was the beloved daughter of the late Edmund Dean and Claire (Bretton) Dube. She had worked at St. Luke’s Hospital for many years.

Roberta is survived by her son, Kevin Costa; her daughters, Karen Mello, and Kellie Costa and her partner Joanne Holmberg; grandchildren, Kevin Costa Jr., Ian Costa, Sarah Costa, Jason Mello, Joshua Mello, Samantha Medeiros and Robbie Martin; great-grandchildren, Karaline Machado and Tyler Medeiros. Also survived by her sister, Donna Butts and her husband Michael Butts; a niece, Dawn Pacheco and nephew, Jeffrey Pacheco; as well as her great-nieces, Dachelle London and Harley Lynn Colins.

Roberta’s funeral arrangements were private.
