Laura C. (Cordeiro) Roy

Marion – Laura C. (Cordeiro) Roy, age 93, of Dartmouth passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022, at Sippican Health Care Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Laurie Robert Roy.

Laura was born in New Bedford and was the beloved daughter of the late Antone Ponte Cordeiro and Laura (Rebelo) Cordeiro. She had been a Private Home Health Aide for many years.

She had been a member of the Marion Council on Aging, a supporter of the Alzheimer’s Association and a dedicated member of The Memory Cafe. Laura was always the life of the party and her happiest times were spent with family and friends.

Laura is survived by her granddaughter, Dana F. Rainha and her husband Michael; siblings, Mary Lawrence and Daniel P. Cordeiro; 2 great-grandchildren, Tyler Gauthier and Jacob Cardoza; daughter-in-law, Susan Roy; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her late sons, Albert J. Roy and Robert Roy and by her late sisters, Elvira Martin and Alice “Bunny” Swallow.

Laura’s visiting hours will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022 at Perry Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. with a service to take place during this time. Cremation will follow.
