David S. Macedo

New Bedford - David S. Macedo, died Thursday, May 18, 2006 at St. Luke’s Hospital, after a brief illness. He was the father of Jeremy Leandre of New Bedford. He was the brother of Carol Ann Sylvia, wife of Tony Sylvia of South Dartmouth. He was the godfather of Stephanie Sylvia and the uncle of Sara, Scott and Sean Sylvia.

Mr. Macedo was the son of the late David R. and Helen (Sylvia) Macedo. He was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all of his life. He was a custodian at the Dartmouth High School. Mr. Macedo was formerly a member of the Moose Lodge and he was a Festeiro for the Blessed Sacrement Feast in New Bedford.

Mr. Macedo's funeral will begin at the Perry Funeral Home at 8:45 A.M. on Saturday, May 20, 2006., with the Funeral Mass to be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, South Dartmouth, MA. at 10 A.M. Visiting hours will be on Friday, May 19, 2006 from 5 -8 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St.
