Baldwinville, MA – Joeseph Silvia, age 93, passed away on Thursday September 1, 2022 at Alliance Health at Baldwinville, MA.

Joeseph is survived by his children, Steven, Glenn, Karen and Gayle; grandchildren, Leigh, Ashley, Lauren, Seann and Kaitlyn; great-grandchildren, Liana and Brady.

Joseph was predeceased by his parents, Joeseph Silvia and Georgiana Cabral Silvia, siblings, Norman, Norma and Robert, as well as former wife, the late Emily (Perry) Silvia.

Joe (Jay) was known as a generous lighthearted, kind and compassionate soul and touched the lives of many. He was full of life, fun, smart and talented. He loved the simple things in life and spending time with his family. Loved nature, always planting flowers, plants, fruit trees and rock gardens in our yards.

He graduated from Boston State College and taught in Boston Public Schools for many years. Joeseph was always someone who loved to help those in need which many can attest to.

He will be greatly missed by his loving family and always remembered in their hearts.

We are sincerely grateful to the many who have given us support and comfort during this time of loss.

Joe’s visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Perry Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. His funeral will take place Thursday morning, in the funeral home, beginning at 11:00 A.M. with a service at 12:00 P.M. Burial will immediately follow in St. John's Cemetery.
