Gene Mendes

New Bedford – Gene Mendes, age 28, of New Bedford, MA passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 29, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital.

Gene was born in New Bedford, MA and was the beloved son of Lisa (Amaral) Allard and the late Gene Mendes. He had been a cashier at CVS Pharmacy.

He is survived by his mother, Lisa Allard; brothers, Jordan Amaral and Nathan Caban; sister, Catrina Mendes-Cook; maternal grandmother, Carol Cote; paternal grandmother, Dolly Mendes; nephew, Jayce Cook; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Gene’s visiting hours will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Perry Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. with a service to take place during this time. Cremation will follow.
