Maria C. Santos

Fairhaven – Maria C. Santos, age 97, of New Bedford, MA passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Our Lady’s Haven surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Antone Santos.

Maria was born in Vila Franca, St. Michael, Azores and was the beloved daughter of the late Mariano Santos Cafua and Carlota Pacheco. She had been a loving homemaker to her family throughout the years.

She is survived by her 4 children, Antone Santos, Jr. and his late wife Jo-Ann Santos, Manuel Santos and his wife Rosemarie, Maria Fatima De Deus and her husband Antero and John Santos and his wife Charlene; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren and her sister, Natalia Santos Cafua; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her late sibling, Conceicao Cabral, Mariana Santos Padre-Cuna, Palmira Santos Bolarinho, Jose Santos Cafua, Mariano Santos Cafua, Antonio Santos Cufua. Maria Santos and Manuel Santos Cafua.

Maria’s visiting hours will be held on Monday, August 22, 2022 at Perry Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Her funeral will take place on Tuesday, beginning in the funeral home at 9:00 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
