Hipolito Pacheco

New Bedford – Hipolito M. Pacheco, age 74, of New Bedford, MA passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Maria Conceição (Almeida) Pacheco.

Hipolito was born in Água de Pau, St. Michael, Azores and was the beloved son of the late Jose Silvestre Pacheco and Maria da Ressurreicao (de Medeiros) Pacheco. He had been a fisherman for many years.

He is survived by his children, Almerinda Sousa and her husband Peter, Fernando Pacheco and his wife Paula, Hipolito Pacheco, Valter Pacheco and his wife Graca, Alexandra Camara and her husband Rui, Filipe Pacheco and his wife Sandra and Acacio Pacheco and his wife Maita; 21 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Hipolito’s visiting hours and funeral service will be held on Monday, August 1, 2022. Visiting hours will be held at Perry Funeral Home from 8:00 A.M. – 9:30 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
