Mary Conceicao (Paulino) Costa

New Bedford – Mary Conceicao (Paulino) Costa, age 96 of New Bedford, MA passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022 at Hathaway Manor Extended Care with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Umberto “Herby” Costa.

Mary was born in New Bedford, MA and was the beloved daughter of the late Antonio Paulino and Maria (Figueiredo) Paulino. She had been a sterilizer at St. Luke’s Hospital for many years.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Perreira and son-in law Steven Perreira ; 2 granddaughters; Stephanie Machado, Shavon Rego and 1 great-grandchild Caiden Machado; niece, Kathy Hodgkins; nephews, Richard Moniz and Albert Moniz; as well as her brother, Alexander Paulino.

She was the sister of the late Manuel Paulino and Ottilia “Tillie” Moniz.

Mary’s visiting hours will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. Her funeral will take place Saturday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 8:45 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Julie Billiart Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
