Marcela A. (Batista) Domingos

New Bedford – Marcela A. (Batista) Domingos, age 89, of New Bedford, MA passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Brandon Woods of New Bedford. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred Domingos.

Marcela was born in St. Michael, Azores to the late Manuel Arruda Batista and Lucinda de Arruda (Couto) Batista. She had been a seamstress for a local clothing manufacturer for many years.

Marcela is survived by her sister, Conceicão Medeiros of the Azores; her beloved care taker, Kenneth Marlowe; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her late siblings, Manuel Batista, Joao Batista, Antone Batista and Serafim Batista.

Marcela’s visitation and funeral service will take place on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Perry Funeral Home. Visiting hours will be held from 2:30 P.M. - 3:30 P.M.
