Manuel Ferreira Jr.

New Bedford – Manuel Ferreira Jr., age 95, of New Bedford, MA passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Irene (Medeiros) Ferreira.

Manuel was born in New Bedford to the late Manuel Ferreira and mary (Rose) Ferreira. He had been a WWII United States Army Veteran. After his service, he had worked as a machinist for Alberox Manufacturing and later worked as a photographer for Ray Whittaker Portraits.

Manuel is survived by his wife, Irene Ferreira; his 2 children, Daniel Ferreira and David Ferreira; his brother, Gerald Ferreira and his niece, Victoria Ferreira.

Manuel’s visitation and funeral service will be held at Perry Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 22, 2022. Visiting hours will be held from 8:30 A.M. – 9:30 A.M. with a service to take place at 9:30 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
