Luz Eneida Rodriguez Sanjurjo

New Bedford – Luz Eneida Rodriguez Sanjurjo, age 64, of New Bedford, MA, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the wife of Jose Peralta.

Luz was born in Loiza, Puerto Rico and was the loved daughter of Enrique Rodríguez and Juana Sanjurjo. She had worked in the fish processing department at Mar-Lees Seafood.

Luz is survived by her husband, Jose Peralta; daughter, Myriam Rodríguez; sons, Feliciano Ortiz, José Peralta and Jonathan Peralta; sister, Miriam Rodriguez; brothers, Enrique Rodriguez, Jose Sanjurjo, Miguel Sanjurjo and Luis Cruz; 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Luz’s visiting hours and funeral service will take place on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Perry Funeral Home. Visiting hours will be held from 9:30 A.M. – 11:30 A.M. with a service to begin at 11:30 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
