Edelmiro Martinez

New Bedford–Edelmiro Martinez died Monday May 8, 2006 at St. Luke’s Hospital. Mr. Martinez was the husband of Ana (Arroyo) Martinez of New Bedford. He was the father of Daniel, Maria Carmen, Orlando, Marilyn, Ramonita and Jose L. Martinez all living in New Bedford, and Yarila Martinez of Florida. He was the brother of Juan R. Martinez, Pawtucket, RI., Miguel Martinez of Puerto Rico, and Maria Jimenez 0f New Bedford. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Martinez was the son of the late Ramon and Maria (Velez) Martinez. He was employed at Chamberlain Mfg. as a machine operator until it closed.

A funeral service will take place Friday May 12, 2006, at 11 AM at Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Thursday May 11, 2006 from 6 to 9 P.M. Burial will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery.
